The idea of Oggi, which in Italian means “today,” started in Italy by the Italian gelato Chef and founder of the brand Carmelo Chiaramida. A brand and laboratory with its philosophy based on seasonality and high quality ingredients which expanded to Bologna, Venice, Milan, Trieste and later to Barcelona and Santiago,in 2020 reached Athens thanks to the new generation of the Doura family.

Three siblings, Nicolas, Christoforos, and Emilia Doura, with their studies at the Gelato University of Bologna, the know-how, and the expertise of Carmelo, created Oggi in Greece and offer the rich experience of authentic gelato.

Handcrafted gelato is made daily – and sold out daily – so that every morning it is offered fresh in different flavours that change according to the seasonality of the raw materials.

We are satisfied only when we find the finest ingredients.

Gelato boasts a denser texture with more intense flavors due to its lower air content, lower fat content, and slightly warmer serving temperature.

Ice cream, on the other hand, offers a lighter and airier texture due to its higher air content and fat content, while being served at a colder temperature, making it firmer.
